Andrea Gibson

Andrea Gibson is a poet/activist who was the first winner of the Women’s World Poetry Slam.  She has headlined prestigious performance venues coast to coast with powerful readings on war, class, gender, bullying, white privilege, sexuality, love, and spirituality. Her work has been featured on the BBC, Air America, C-SPAN, Free Speech TV, and independent broadcasts worldwide.   Gibson is a co-founder of “Stay Here With Me”, an art-based interactive site focused on suicide prevention.  Gibson has recorded 6 full-length albums and published two books, The Madness Vase, and Pole Dancing to Gospel Hymns.
